Food processing industry in Malaysia is largely dominated by small and medium industries, catering, mainly for the domestic market. Small and medium scale food enterprises have played a very important role in the Malaysian economy, particularly in terms of employment generation, better income distribution and as training ground for entrepreneurs before they invest in large enterprises.
