Gabe Evens has been actively performing in KL’s jazz circuit. This prominent jazz pianist started taking up piano with Robert Griffin after spending his adolescent years playing the violin. He’s played and recorded for some fine jazz musicians including Lois Deloatch, John Brown, Scott Sawyer, Nneenna Freelon, Keith Ganz, Ray Codrington, Bobby Cohen, Doug Largent and many others.
His jazz, latin, blues and completely improvised music has shined through at No Black Tie over the months when he performed as part of the distinguished Patrick Terbrack Quartet.
Recently releasing a new album, he is now back at No Black Tie for another anticipated performance. He will be backed by The Thelonious Funksters which consists of Julian Chan on sax, Daniel Foong on bass & Zahid Ahmad on drums.
