George Town Festival 2011, Pro Musica Gala Concert @ Dewan Sri Pinang, Light Street, Penang

This programme, which aims to encourage and develop regional talent, has been conducted for the past few years in Penang by the eminent voice teacher Loh Siew Tuan – originally from Penang – and now based in London. She has worked in conjunction with Ghent’s Opera Plus and the Flanders Opera Studio, which have helped to develop the careers of many emerging Malaysian singers. Respected teachers from the Flanders Opera Studio – Ronny Lauwers, Benoît De Leersnyder and Hein Boterberg – intensify the learning experience with instruction in musicianship, interpretation and performance style.
