Panflute in the music of the world by Dalila Cernătescu & Florin Răducanu @ Wisma Kebudayaan SGM, Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpurposted by mmw_event

This unique musical performance will feature Dalila Cernătescu on panflute, an ancient musical instrument , consisting usually of five or more pipes of gradually increasing length and Florin Răducanu on piano.
Dalila Cernătescu is a professor at the National University of Music in Bucharest. She made her musical debut at the age of 6 on Romanian National TV Channel. Since her teenage years, she has been performing regularly in ethno and classical music programmes on tv and in recitals in various countries like Austria, Germany and Switzerland. She also won awards in various music festivals like the Danube Countries Festivals, the International Festival Radost Europe Belgrade and International Music Festival Bucharest. She has produced about 15 records since 1984. She has also played for the movie Titanic and in 2005, she participated in “Smile for Asia” – a fundraising concert where proceeds have benefited tsunami victims.
Florin Răducanu is a pianist, composer and professor at the George Enescu Music High School in Bucharest. He is also the founder of the Jazz Department at George Enescu Music High School. He has won several prizes – 3rd prize at the “Ciprian Porumbescu” Piano contest, Bucharest in 1982 and 1st prize at the Napocensis Jazz Festival, Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 2000; Laureate of the Hoeillaart Music Festival, Belgium 2003; “Best in Jazz” Prize in 2005 from “Cuvantul”, a Romanian Cultural magazine. He has also participated in various music and Jazz festivals since 1997.
