Safe House, a collaborative project by Chang Yoong Chia with Teoh Ming Wah, which is a part of the Bombay Sapphire Art Project, will be exhibited at the Project Room, Valentine Willie Fine Art, from October 18 – November 8.
The installation will be a recreation of a museum space, challenging audiences’ perception of what a museum is and what it entails.
Indeed, the artist hopes to tamper with rigid definitions – artefacts and artworks, for example – and connectively, the installation could raise questions about institutions and the ideological elements that govern them.
