Bobby has been into music ever since he was 4 years old. The Louisiana-born musician was truly inspired with the variety of music styles and fantastic musicians around him when he was growing up. The better opportunity was in a form of invitation by the initial founder of Toto, Jeffery Porcaro and David Paich, to become the lead singer of the band. The band’s first LP which was simply entitled ‘Toto’ broke out with a massive hit single – “Hold The Line”. The band was even nominated for a Grammy for the “Best New Band” that year.

Toto’s music was very well reserved and the band quickly gained huge followings and loyal fans. Bobby’s reputation as the respected frontman for the band propelled to mega stardom. In 1982, the band received a record-breaking nine Grammy nominations for their album “Toto IV” and won six, mainly by the strength and popularity of the sing “Rosanna”. The awards received that evening solidified Toto’s status as THE band of that year.
