This special photo exhibition is a personal tribute by Syed Abdullah Barakhbah who was Tunku and Tun Sharifah Rodziah Barakhbah’s nephew and first adopted son.
This exhibition features 106 photographs of Tunku Abdul Rahman, taken by Syed Abdullah Barakhbah.
This number was specially chosen to celebrate Tunku’s 106th birthday last February.
These photographs are gems that show Tunku and his family in their natural surroundings, doing ordinary things away from public view.
Most of them were taken at the Residency, the official residence of the first Prime Minister of Malaysia at the end of Jalan Dato’ Onn, formerly known as Brockman Road.
The Residency is now part of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Memorial.
