The Waseda Brass has been organised in 2000 by the members of the brass section who belonged to Waseda University Symphony Orchestra (Tokyo) in late 1970’s. They are still the nucleus of the band but now players who graduated from other schools have joined. The average age of members is over 50, and all of them are amateur musicians, who majored physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering, architecture, law, political science, economics and so on. They have performed twice in Penang (2006 & 2007), and this year they play both in Penang and Kuala Lumpur.
In the concert, they will play a variety of music like western classical music, pop music, and even Japanese and Malaysian popular songs.
