Traditional art forms have come to a cross road. Many are confounded with the task of appealing to today’s audience and yet preserving their cultural heritage.

Yoshida Brothers is a classic example of a group that has taken their traditional art form to a whole new level and made it big!

The brothers, both masters of the three-stringed traditional Japanese instrument called shamisen, have taken the world by storm with their unique blend of the Tsugaru-shamisen style infused with Western and regional music influences. They have toured all over the world, gaining legions of fans along the way. Their music has been featured on a Nintendo Wii TV commercial.
