Zaz accepts no boundaries. Her influences extend from traditional French music, afro-Latino influences with a hint of jazz-swing. Since her stint at a music school in Bordeaux, she has kept moving and playing, waltzing from a project to another.

She started making a name for herself, especially after winning a new talent contest at Olympia, Paris’s famous music hall. Since then her incomparable voice led her to the most outstanding stages: she has performed in a salt mine in Colombia for free, in front of 10 000 people in a stadium in Hendaye (France) and even in Siberia with talented French singers.

The Basque Country, Africa, Latin America… wherever she goes, she finds people to play music with, no matter who nor how. Combining Folk, blues, French chanson, jazz or soul, Zaz expresses the vitality of French Nouvelle Scene.

She will release her debut album on 10th May 2010, with Je veux as the first single. The French Art and Film Festival is pleased to be chosen as the first platform for the promotion of her album. The Malaysian audience will be one of the first to listen to her music one week after the release of her new album
