The talented entertainer made his debut appearance on stage at the age of 21, but it was only when he performed in the musical ‘Zhang Ti Finds Ah Zhu’ 7 years later did he rise to stardom. Baby boomers will certainly remember Zhang Ti as being a highly spontaneous singer, who can fit in words to tunes based on topics selected by the audience! Towards the late 1970s, Zhang Ti’s fame spread to China, where his popularity was on par with the late legend – Teresa Teng.
Till today, Zhang Ti continues to be well known for his unique singing style and the close rapport he establishes with the audience wherever he goes
